Emma Raducanu faces potential Coco Gauff rematch as Rome Open draw revealed
Emma Raducanu, the British No 1, is set to compete at the Rome Open after missing several events due to a viral illness and a right hand injury that forced her withdrawal from the Madrid Open last week. The draw has placed her on a potential collision course with Coco Gauff in the third round — the same player who knocked her out at the same stage in Rome last year. Raducanu will enter in the second round with a bye, facing either world No 72 Solana Sierra or a qualifier, in what will be her first clay-court match of the 2026 season.
