Emma Raducanu to miss Wimbledon after leg injury becomes ‘stress fracture’
Emma Raducanu, the British No 1, has withdrawn from Wimbledon 2026 on the eve of the tournament after a scan revealed that a niggling injury in her right leg has developed into a stress fracture. The 23-year-old announced her withdrawal on Instagram on June 28, 2026, stating she had done everything possible to reach the start line but was medically advised to stop. Raducanu had cut short a practice session at the All England Club on Saturday before receiving the definitive diagnosis.
