England confirm 50-over warm-up fixture at the Waca before Australia tour

England have confirmed a 50-over warm-up fixture against a Western Australia XI at the Waca in Perth on 7 November, ahead of their white-ball tour of Australia this winter. The match comes six days before their one-day international series begins, and ECB chair Richard Thompson said the scheduling shows England have 'learned' from the mistakes of last year's Ashes defeat. England's 50-over side began 2026 by winning in Sri Lanka and also beat Sri Lanka and India at home during the summer.
