England should pick English-based players, says Exeter boss Rob Baxter

Exeter Chiefs director of rugby Rob Baxter has voiced his support for England's policy of selecting only home-based players, stating it is beneficial for the domestic game. His comments come in response to former England lock Courtney Lawes, who has 105 caps, calling for overseas-based players to be eligible for England selection. Lawes, 37, spent two years at French club Brive where he was ineligible for England, before returning to the Premiership by joining Sale this summer.
