England survive wobble to see off Ireland but have Sciver-Brunt injury concern
England beat Ireland by 4 wickets in their Women's Cricket World Cup Group B match at Southampton on Tuesday, chasing down 119 with 15 balls remaining after recovering from a precarious 35 for three. Captain Nat Sciver-Brunt top-scored with 48 but was forced to retire hurt with nine runs still needed, apparently suffering a recurrence of a calf injury. She will be assessed by medical staff before England's next match against Scotland at Headingley on Saturday.
