England's first Sikh woman rugby player turns sumo wrestler
Manjinder Nagra, 51, who became England's first Sikh woman rugby player in the 1990s while studying at Bath University, has now taken up sumo wrestling and won the national championship in her weight category. She has been selected to represent England at the European Sumo Wrestling Championships, to be held in Scotland on 27 June. Nagra described it as a 'dream' to represent her country twice in a lifetime, calling the honour comparable to her rugby career three decades earlier.
