England’s men to host more five-Test series but play some one-off games overseas
England's men's cricket team will face an uneven Test schedule in the next Future Tours Programme, with more five-match home series planned against South Africa and Pakistan for the first time in decades. The England and Wales Cricket Board is abandoning the principle of reciprocal home and away series under the new World Test Championship cycle, which begins with the home Ashes series next summer. In contrast, England's tours to Sri Lanka and Bangladesh may be reduced to single Test matches supplemented by more commercially viable white-ball fixtures.
