England’s World Cup squad confirmed as Wigan dominate and big names omitted

England head coach Brian McDermott has named a 23-man squad for the upcoming Rugby League World Cup this autumn, with several high-profile players notably left out of the selection. Wigan Warriors feature prominently in the squad, with the club contributing a significant number of players. The announcement has drawn attention due to the omission of a number of well-known names from the final roster.
