English players urged to reconsider Afghan T20 tournament

Several England cricketers, including Ollie Pope, Luke Wood, Moeen Ali, Reece Topley, James Vince, Tom Kohler-Cadmore, and Laurie Evans, have registered for the draft of the inaugural Afghanistan Premier League (APL), a men's T20 franchise tournament organised by the Afghanistan Cricket Board. The tournament is set to be staged in the United Arab Emirates later this year, with the draft held in October. The players are being urged to reconsider their participation, with one appeal asking them to think about their 'daughters, sisters or mothers', despite apparent reservations from the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).
