English takes stunning 800m win at Diamond League event

Ireland's Mark English won the men's 800m at the Diamond League Shanghai event on Saturday, setting a new meeting record of 1 minute 43.85 seconds. The 33-year-old from Donegal produced a stunning sprint finish, weaving past four rivals in the final 10 metres at China's Textile City Sports Centre. His victory earned him the $20,000 (£14,800) first prize.
