Enhanced Games claim ‘we changed the world’ but only one record broken and three clean athletes win
The inaugural Enhanced Games in Las Vegas concluded with organisers falling far short of their promises of multiple world records, with only one record broken across the entire event. Greek swimmer Kristian Gkolomeev set the sole record, swimming the men's 50m freestyle in 20.81 seconds in the final event of the night after more than five hours of competition. Despite bold claims about redefining human performance through the use of enhancement drugs, three clean athletes won events, and the event was widely seen as failing to deliver the excitement its organisers had forecast.
