Eugenio Chacarra’s Sunday charge falls short as Grant Forrest wins Open de España presented by Madrid

Grant Forrest, a 33-year-old Scotsman, won the Open de España presented by Madrid on Sunday with a final-round 2-under 70, claiming a one-shot victory over Victor Perez of France. Forrest secured the win by getting up-and-down for birdie on the par-4 18th hole, chipping to just over 3 feet and holing the winning putt after Perez missed a 10-footer. The victory earns Forrest his first Masters invitation to Augusta National, as well as a spot in The Open Championship.
