Evangelista traded to Devils by Predators for 2 draft picks

The Nashville Predators traded 24-year-old forward Luke Evangelista to the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday in exchange for a conditional first-round pick and a second-round pick in the 2028 NHL Draft. Evangelista recorded a career-high 56 points (12 goals, 44 assists) in 81 games last season and has one year remaining on his two-year, $6 million contract. The trade gives Nashville seven picks in the first two rounds over the next two seasons, according to general manager Chris MacFarland.
