Evenepoel beats Pogacar by seconds in stage 16 of Tour de France

Belgian cyclist Remco Evenepoel won stage 16 of the Tour de France, a 26.1km individual time trial along the shores of Lake Geneva on Tuesday, beating overall leader Tadej Pogacar by 28 seconds. Dane Mattias Skjelmose finished third at 1 minute and 4 seconds back. The victory, Evenepoel's second consecutive stage win, reduced four-time Tour winner Pogacar's overall lead to 4 minutes and 32 seconds, and came on Belgium's national holiday.
