Evenepoel pips Pogacar again as Tour de France nighttime doping test row deepens

Remco Evenepoel won the stage-16 time trial at the Tour de France, covering the route from Evian to Thonon-les-Bains on Belgian national day, beating overall leader Tadej Pogacar by 28 seconds. The victory, his third Tour time trial win, moved Evenepoel to second overall and cut Pogacar's lead to just over four and a half minutes. Separately, Florian Lipowitz, who finished third in last year's race, abandoned the Tour after crashing.
