Evenepoel snatches photo-finish win to clinch European road cycling crown

Belgian cyclist Remco Evenepoel claimed the 2025 European road cycling championship title on Sunday in Slovenia, edging out Italy's Giulio Ciccone in a photo finish. Italy's Christian Scaroni finished third, almost a minute behind. The victory came weeks after Evenepoel narrowly missed the world championship title, where he finished behind winner Brandon McNulty in Montreal.
