The 2026 MLB Trade Deadline is set for August 3 at 6 p.m. ET, with less than 24 hours remaining for teams to make trades. Under current rules, the Commissioner's Office can schedule the Deadline anywhere between July 28 and August 3 to avoid game conflicts, replacing the old fixed July 31 date. Players on 40-man rosters cannot be traded after the Deadline, though minor leaguers not on 40-man rosters remain tradeable, and any player must be in an organization by August 31 to qualify for postseason eligibility.
