Ex-delivery driver in UK wins final Open spot

English golfer Joe Dean, 32, a former grocery delivery driver, won the inaugural Last Chance Qualifier at Royal Birkdale Golf Club on Monday, shooting a 2-under 68 to claim the final spot in the 154th Open Championship, which begins July 16. Dean beat a 12-man field, with Andrew Wilson finishing second at 1-under and Aldrich Potgieter third at even par. This will be Dean's third Open appearance, having previously finished tied for 25th at Royal Troon in 2024.
