EXCLUSIVE: Why Audi's Driver Development Programme is about more than finding their next Formula 1 star

Audi launched their Driver Development Programme in January, led by Racing Director Allan McNish, as part of their preparations for their debut as a Formula 1 works team. The programme currently has two signed prospects: Formula 3 driver Freddie Slater and F1 Academy's Emma Felbermayr, with former F1 Academy racer Carrie Schreiner serving as a mentor. The initiative aims to develop young drivers both on and off the track, with McNish emphasising a moral obligation to prepare them for their futures regardless of whether they reach Formula 1.
