Exequiel Palacios included in Argentina's World Cup squad

Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Exequiel Palacios, 27, has been named in Argentina's final squad for the 2026 World Cup. Despite only making his first league start of the season in February, his strong end to the campaign convinced coach Lionel Scaloni to include him. Palacios previously featured for 47 minutes during Argentina's victorious 2022 World Cup campaign.
