F1 agrees on extra combustion power for 2027 and 2028

Formula 1 stakeholders, including the FIA, teams, and power unit manufacturers, have agreed to regulation changes increasing internal combustion engine power for 2027 and 2028. From 2027, a 5% fuel flow increase will raise ICE power from 400kW to 420kW, while electric motor output drops from 350kW to 300kW, shifting the power split from 53/47 to 58/42. A larger 13% fuel flow increase bringing ICE power to 450kW and a 60/40 split is planned for 2028.
