F1 announces 2027 calendar including Middle East races, 10 sprints and mid-December finish
Formula 1 has announced its 2027 season calendar, which will begin on March 14 in Bahrain β the first time Bahrain has hosted the season opener since 2024 β with preseason testing scheduled from February 24-27. The calendar includes all four Middle East races (Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Abu Dhabi) despite disruptions caused by the Iran War in 2026, and expands the sprint weekend format from six to 10 rounds, adding events including Monaco. The United States will again host three races, with Miami on May 2, Austin on October 24, and Las Vegas the Saturday before Thanksgiving.
