F1 champion Lando Norris targets Le Mans as McLaren return to endurance racing

Reigning F1 champion Lando Norris has expressed his desire to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, coinciding with McLaren's planned return to the World Endurance Championship. The 2026 Le Mans race conflicts with the Barcelona Grand Prix on June 13, making 2027 the earliest realistic opportunity for Norris to participate. McLaren's only previous Le Mans victory came in 1995, when Yannick Dalmas, JJ Lehto, and Masanori Sekiya won in the McLaren F1 GTR.
