F1 Eyes Malaysia Return After Middle East Cancellations
Formula 1 has canceled its planned grands prix in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, originally scheduled for April, due to the ongoing Middle East conflict, and has determined they cannot be rescheduled. Malaysia's Sepang International Circuit has emerged as the frontrunner to host a replacement race on October 4, slotted between the Azerbaijan and Singapore grands prix. Sepang hosted F1 from 1999 to 2017 and retains FIA-standard facilities through its continued role as a MotoGP venue.
