F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix recognized as annual event through 2037

Clark County Commissioners unanimously approved a resolution recognizing the Formula One Las Vegas Grand Prix as an annual event through 2037, extending the previous resolution by five years from its 2032 expiration. The approval came with conditions that race organizers must condense setup and teardown timelines and make infrastructure improvements, including permanent track lighting foundations, underground conduit for power and communication, and permanent traffic flow gates. Commission chairman Michael Naft emphasized that the extended timeline must be accompanied by reduced disruption to the community, which benefits from an estimated $1 billion economic impact from the event.
