Formula One's key stakeholders — including the FIA, teams, engine manufacturers, and F1's owners — have reached an agreement on engine rule changes scheduled for the 2027 and 2028 seasons, aimed at addressing widespread driver dissatisfaction with energy management restrictions. Four-time world champion Max Verstappen, one of the most vocal critics, had repeatedly threatened to leave the sport over the current regulations, calling them 'anti-racing.' However, the resolution falls short of the minimum level of improvement Verstappen sought until 2028.
