F1 points leader Antonelli calls Dutch GP a ‘wake-up call’ after qualifying mistakes

Mercedes rookie Kimi Antonelli, 19, described his Dutch Grand Prix weekend as a 'very good wake-up call' after struggling through qualifying at Zandvoort. Despite entering the weekend with a 50-point lead over Lewis Hamilton and 59 points ahead of teammate George Russell, Antonelli qualified fifth for the sprint race and finished fourth, while Russell took pole and won the sprint to cut the gap by three points. For Sunday's grand prix, Russell again outqualified Antonelli, with the pair starting second and third behind pole-sitter and reigning world champion Lando Norris.
