F1 to review pitlane procedures after Gasly's Monaco GP podium reinstated
Formula 1 management has vowed to review pitlane speed measurement procedures after FIA stewards on Friday reinstated Pierre Gasly's Monaco Grand Prix podium result. The Alpine driver had been handed two five-second time penalties for allegedly exceeding the 60km/h pitlane speed limit, but evidence from FOM revealed a discrepancy in how speeds were measured at Monaco's pitlane entry, meaning Gasly and four other drivers were incorrectly penalised. McLaren and Red Bull have lodged intentions to appeal the decision to overturn Gasly's penalty.
