F1 to steer away from electric power in 2027
The FIA has announced that Formula 1 will shift away from its current near 50:50 split between combustion and electric power for the 2027 season. Safety concerns were also a factor, highlighted by Oliver Bearman's serious accident at Suzuka involving Franco Colapinto amid differing energy deployment states.
