FC Cincinnati to compete in 2027 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup

Major League Soccer announced that all 27 of its U.S.-based clubs, including FC Cincinnati, will compete in the 2027 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. This will mark FC Cincinnati's first participation in the national club championship since 2023, when they reached the Semifinal Round with victories over Louisville City FC, New York City FC, Red Bull New York, and Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC. In the 2025 edition, Cincinnati was represented only by their MLS NEXT Pro affiliate, FC Cincinnati 2.
