Female tennis players must undergo genetic sex testing to play on WTA Tour

The Women's Tennis Association (WTA) has introduced a policy requiring female tennis players to undergo genetic sex testing in order to compete on the WTA Tour. The move aligns the WTA with the International Olympic Committee and World Athletics, among other governing bodies. Notably, the policy has been implemented despite there currently being no transgender women competing in professional tennis.
