Fernandes left out after criticism of Carrick

Bruno Fernandes has been dropped to the bench for Manchester United's home match against Bournemouth following his public criticism of head coach Michael Carrick after a 4-1 defeat to Como on Wednesday. Fernandes expressed dissatisfaction with Carrick's tactical instructions, specifically regarding pressing, prompting Carrick to hit back at his news conference. Harry Maguire was named captain in Fernandes' absence, while Lisandro Martínez, who faced a fine for separately criticising the club's board, was permitted to start the previous match against Leeds United.
