Fernandes wins EA SPORTS Player of the Season award

Bruno Fernandes has won the EA SPORTS Player of the Season award for the first time after a standout 2025/26 Premier League campaign with Manchester United. The 31-year-old Portuguese captain directly contributed to 28 goals in 37 appearances, recording eight goals and a joint-record 20 assists, equalling Kevin De Bruyne and Thierry Henry's single-season assist record with his 20th assist in a 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest. Fernandes helped Manchester United secure third place and a UEFA Champions League spot, and could set a new all-time Premier League assists record in the final match of the season against Aston Villa.
