Fernandez Enters British GP as Wild Card

Yamaha Factory Racing test rider Augusto Fernandez will compete as a wild-card entry at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone Circuit on August 5, 2026, the 12th round of the MotoGP World Championship. The primary objective of his participation is to gather race-condition data to aid Yamaha's ongoing bike development program. Fernandez, the 2022 Moto2 World Champion, has previous Silverstone success including Moto2 victories in 2019 and 2022, and achieved a best MotoGP finish of P11 at the circuit in 2023.
