Fernando Tatis Jr. and newcomer Austin Hays power Padres to 7-2 victory over Astros

Fernando Tatis Jr. hit a go-ahead three-run home run and newcomer Austin Hays added a two-run shot in his first at-bat as a Padre, powering San Diego to a 7-2 win over the AL West-leading Houston Astros on Sunday. Jackson Merrill and Gavin Sheets also homered for the Padres, who won two of three games in the series. The victory kept San Diego just one game out of a National League playoff spot.
