Ferrari confirms Miami GP updates devised during F1’s ‘Spring Break’

Ferrari Team Principal Fred Vasseur has confirmed the team will bring upgrades to the SF-26 for the 2026 Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix. The team used a five-week break between the Japanese GP and the Miami GP — caused by Middle East conflict — to study race data and develop improvements, aiming to close the gap to Mercedes. Ferrari has recorded consecutive podiums in the opening three rounds, but has struggled to match Mercedes' race pace over full Grand Prix distances, with the W16 of Antonelli and Russell sweeping all race wins so far.
