Ferrari unleashes major F1 car upgrades as it chases down Mercedes at Barcelona GP

Ferrari has introduced a significant aerodynamic upgrade package at the 2026 Barcelona Grand Prix, featuring a new front wing with a revised nose shape, raised lower surface, new footplate vane arrangement, an additional dive plane, and optimised wing elements for improved aero load distribution. This follows the team's previous major upgrade at the Miami Grand Prix in early May, which performed as intended but failed to close the gap to Mercedes. Ferrari aims to use Barcelona, a traditional aerodynamic testing benchmark, to further challenge Mercedes' early-season dominance.
