Feysa and Kipruto triumph in swift Chicago races

Hawi Feysa retained her Chicago Marathon title on October 11, 2026, running 2:13:33 to improve her personal best by 84 seconds and move to fourth on the world all-time list, while Sharon Lokedi finished second in 2:14:07 and Brigid Kosgei third in 2:14:55 — the first marathon in history with three women finishing inside 2:15. Amos Kipruto won the men's race in 2:01:09, a 30-second personal best that moves him to equal fifth on the world all-time list. Having finished third in 2024 and second the previous year, the Kenyan broke away from pre-race favourite Jacob Kiplimo in the second half to claim victory.
