FIA confirms double punishment after Lewis Hamilton investigation at Bahrain Grand Prix

Lewis Hamilton received a double punishment from FIA stewards after being investigated for impeding Sauber's Gabriel Bortoleto during Free Practice 2 at the Bahrain Grand Prix, which was held at the Malaysian circuit in Sepang. The incident marked Hamilton's second investigation in as many weeks, following a reprimand he received at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix for blocking Red Bull's Liam Lawson on a high-speed section of the Baku street circuit. The 41-year-old Ferrari driver allegedly slowed in front of Bortoleto heading into the turn nine hairpin, prompting an angry radio message from the Brazilian rookie.
