Fifa’s failure to agree World Cup TV deals in China and India a headache for Infantino
With the 2026 FIFA World Cup just one month away, no broadcasting deals have been reached with China or India, meaning fans in countries totalling 2.7 billion residents may be unable to watch all 104 games. Despite asking prices falling steadily, no agreements have been finalised, posing a significant commercial and reputational problem for FIFA president Gianni Infantino.
