FLASH: Jamaica improve mixed 4x100m world record to 39.62 in Gaborone
Jamaica set a new mixed 4x100m world record of 39.62 seconds at the Debswana World Athletics Relays in Gaborone on May 3, 2026, with Ackeem Blake, Tina Clayton, Kadrian Goldson, and Tia Clayton winning the final. This was their second world record of the competition, having previously run 39.99 in the heats, while Canada finished second in 40.23 and the USA third in 40.33. The top six finalists — Jamaica, Canada, USA, Germany, Spain, and Nigeria — secured qualification for the inaugural World Athletics Ultimate Championship in Budapest in September.
