Flyers tender Leo Carlsson offer sheet that would make him NHL’s highest-paid player
The Philadelphia Flyers tendered an offer sheet to restricted free agent Leo Carlsson, 21, for five years at an average annual value of $18 million, which would make him the highest-paid player in the NHL. Carlsson, the No. 2 pick in the 2023 draft, recorded 29 goals and 38 assists in 70 regular-season games for the Anaheim Ducks this past season, adding four goals and seven assists in 12 playoff games. The Ducks have the right to match the offer sheet to retain Carlsson, who has improved his point totals in each of his three NHL seasons.
