Flyers trade for Woll to support Vladar in goal, sign Acciari

The Philadelphia Flyers acquired goaltender Joseph Woll, 28, and defenseman Simon Benoit from the Toronto Maple Leafs on June 16 in exchange for goalie Samuel Ersson, defenseman Emil Andrae, and a 2026 third-round pick. Woll posted a 15-16-7 record with a 3.34 GAA and .899 save percentage in 39 games last season and is expected to serve as a dependable partner for Dan Vladar. Additionally, the Flyers signed 34-year-old forward Noel Acciari to a two-year contract on July 1; Acciari recorded 25 points in 67 games with the Pittsburgh Penguins last season.
