Former Buff Jamahl Mosley hired as Pelicans head coach

The New Orleans Pelicans have hired Jamahl Mosley as their new head coach, signing him to a five-year contract. Mosley, who spent five seasons with the Orlando Magic and compiled an overall NBA head coaching record of 189-221 across 410 games, led Orlando to three consecutive playoff appearances before being fired after the 2025-26 season. He replaces interim coach James Borrego, who had taken over following the firing of Willie Green.
