Former Clemson WR Cornell Powell reaches UFL title game

Former Clemson wide receiver Cornell Powell and the DC Defenders advanced to the 2026 United Bowl after a 28-22 upset victory over the Orlando Storm on Sunday at Daytona Stadium. Orlando, one of the league's best teams during the regular season with only two prior losses, fell to a DC squad that entered the postseason at 5-5. Powell contributed two catches for 28 yards in the win, putting the Defenders one game away from a UFL championship.
