Jack Campbell, a 34-year-old former NHL goaltender who played for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Edmonton Oilers, and Detroit Red Wings, announced his retirement from professional hockey in a social media post on Sunday. Campbell, who played eight NHL seasons and was named an NHL All-Star, cited personal battles throughout his career and entered the NHL/NHLPA player assistance program in October 2024. He stated he intends to pursue a career as a life coach, saying his greatest fulfillment came from helping others rather than playing.
