Former Mercedes Technical Chief Mike Elliott Joins Alpine F1

Alpine F1 has appointed Mike Elliott, 52, as their new Chief Technical Officer, marking his return to the Enstone-based team where he previously served as Principal Aerodynamicist from 2008 to 2012. Elliott spent over a decade at Mercedes, rising to Technical Director in 2021 before leaving the team in October 2023 following a job swap with James Allison amid the team's struggles with ground effect regulations. At Alpine, Elliott will lead and oversee all technical and engineering functions at the Enstone factory as the team aims to build on recent on-track improvements.
