Former Open champion Oosthuizen quits LIV Golf

Louis Oosthuizen, the 44-year-old former Open Championship winner from South Africa, has quit LIV Golf, calling it the hardest decision of his career. Oosthuizen had joined the breakaway league in 2022 and served as captain of the Southern Guards GC team, but LIV Golf filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in September after Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund withdrew its multibillion-dollar backing. He now plans to return to the DP World Tour in 2027.
