Former world champion boxer Zolani Tete killed in South Africa

Former world champion boxer Zolani Tete, 38, was shot and killed in his car at his home in South Africa, according to South African sports minister Gayton McKenzie. A 27-year-old woman who was with him in the vehicle was also shot multiple times and was hospitalized. Tete had held the WBF flyweight title from 2007 to 2008 and the WBO bantamweight title in 2017 and 2019.
