Formula 1 and FIA confirm Malaysia will join 2026 calendar as host venue for Bahrain Grand Prix

Formula 1 and the FIA have confirmed that Malaysia's Sepang International Circuit will host the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix on October 2-4, 2026, slotted between the Azerbaijan and Singapore Grands Prix. The arrangement, agreed upon by Formula 1, the FIA, the Government of Bahrain, and the Government of Malaysia, was made to preserve a Grand Prix that would otherwise not have taken place due to Bahrain's inability to host. The deal is subject to final agreements and approval by the World Motor Sport Council, with the rest of the 2026 calendar remaining unchanged.
